Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area provides FREE, student-centered, private and confidential instruction to adults with literacy skills below the sixth grade level. They also provide support services for volunteers and learners, and collaborate with individuals, groups and organizations desiring to foster increased literacy. Services include 1-on-1 tutoring, conversation classes, and Citizenship classes.
La Organización Literacy Volunteers del área de Montachusett brindan instrucción GRATUITA, centrada en el estudiante, privada y confidencial a adultos con niveles de alfabetismo inferiores al de sexto grado. También proporcionan servicios de apoyo para voluntarios y estudiantes, y colaboran con individuos, grupos y organizaciones que desean fomentar un mayor alfabetismo. Los servicios incluyen tutoría individual, clases de conversación y de ciudadanía.

Visit Peterson's Test Prep, provided for free thanks to the MBLC, for resources to help you pass the U.S. Citizenship Test. To access these resources:
- Visit Peterson's Test Prep Home.
- Use the search box to search for "Citizenship."
- Access the Prep course for flashcards and interactive lessons, take a Practice Test, or download the ebook to get an overview of the U.S. Citizenship process.
Citizenship Classes may also be available through the Literacy Volunteers. Visit their website to learn more about current offerings, or call 978-343-8184.
Visit FPL's Citizenship Corner for access to books, pamphlets, and learning materials selected to help you in your journey to become a naturalized citizen. English language learning materials are also available here. All materials are available to check out with your library card. The Citizenship Corner is located on the main floor of the library, to the right of the Garden doors.

- MassLinks Online Adult Education Program - Free High School Equivalency (GED and HiSet) preparation classes and English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL/ESL) classes. Funded by DESE.
- Contact the Literacy Volunteers to be paired with a one-on-one tutor, or join conversation circle classes.
