Covid-19 Testing Sites

You should get tested if you:

  • are experiencing any Covid-19 like symptoms. For a full list of Covid-19 Symptoms visit the CDC website.
  • are at high-risk for complications from Covid-19. For information on high-risk groups of people for Covid-19 visit the CDC Website.
  • have been in close contact with someone who is infected with Covid-19.
  • have recently traveled, or
  • have taken part in a large gathering.

Home Rapid Tests

Rapid Tests through the Fitchburg Board of Health are available in the CIty Hall Lobby, while supplies last. The Board of Health is recommending that you visit your local pharmacies of Community Health Connections (CHC).

Montachusett Public Health Network COVID-19 Response Team

Lead by the Fitchburg Health Department, the MPHN COVID-19 Response Team provides support with COVID-19 related needs for the cities and towns of Athol, Clinton, Fitchburg, Gardner, Leominster, Phillipston, Princeton, Royalston, Sterling, Templeton, Westminster, and Windendon. Staff are available from the Response Team on Mondays-Saturdays 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM. If you test positive at home with a rapid antigen test, please fill out this form to hell control the spread of COVID-19 and to request support with resources, treatment, and guidance. Services are available in English and Spanish.

  • Community Health Connections (CHC) COVID-19 testing, 326 Nichols Rd. on Mondays through Fridays from 8:30AM-11:30AM. Testing is for exposed or symptomatic individuals only. Individuals should bring a form of ID and insurance cards. Walk Ins Welcome.
  • Fitchburg VA Clinic-881 Main Street  978-342-9781, appointment required
  • Walgreens - 571 John Fitch Highway. Free drive through Covid-19 testing for ages 3+. 
  • CVS - Local CVS branches are offering Covid-19 testing for ages 3+.
