Fitchburg Cultural Council Public Input Meeting
Thursday, August 29, 2019
The Fitchburg Cultural Council invites all Members of the Fitchburg area Community to join them for a Community Input Meeting and Grantee Reception on Thursday August 29th 2019 from 5pm – 7pm at the Fitchburg Art Museum, 185 Elm Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420
The Fitchburg Cultural Council needs your input!
Last year the Fitchburg Cultural Council (FCC) granted more than $30,000 to projects in and around Fitchburg. We need past FCC grantees as well as the people who live and work in Fitchburg to advise us about how best to allocate public dollars for this coming season.
We need feedback on: What current programs and activities - in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences are important to support or maintain and how have you, your organization, your kids and/or the community been affected by council grants.
Our abbreviated monthly open meeting will follow directly after the community input portion of this event. Light refreshments will be served.
The Fitchburg Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.
